Strum, blow, or strike on Mondays 5pm – 7pm at the Theater Lounge (in between the Newsagent and the Cafeteria on level 3).
The Chamber Orchestra welcomes those who play any instrument, and no auditions are undertaken! Just turn up to a rehearsal on Monday nights. We go through the set list for the End-of-Semester Concert, as well as learn and practice with other like minded people.
Chris Blenkinsopp – Orchestra Conductor
Chris Blenkinsopp completed a Bachelor of Music at the Academy of Music, Indonesia. He then studied under Geof BaileClif Goodchild at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He has performed with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Elizabethan Trust Orchestra (now the Australian Opera and ballet Orchestra).
Chris is currently the Head of Music at Waverley College. He has directed the Pipers Wind Ensemble at UNSW and with the exception of 1996 and 1997, has been the conductor of the MuscUTS Chamber Orchestra since its inception in 1993.
